1907 - The Palatine Photographic Company has a studio on Blackfriars Street and begins making films under their glass studio roof.
The Musee De Mirth Cinema opened on Market Street in the City Centre in 1908, as did the first designated cinema, the Theatre of Varieties, on Peter Street.
The Blakeley family opened a cinema, The Century Electric Picture Palace in 1909 at 22 Golbourne Street in Warrington and also began renting films from their home at 16 Union Street, Ardwick.
